Now, under the new ownership of Vanessa and Soren Wohlers, we are excited to carry this legacy forward for another 38 years. With our extensive background in dance, music, and entertainment, we are thrilled to bring our expertise and passion to the studio.
Dance, music, and entertainment are at the core of our lives, and we are eager to share this with your children. Our goal is not only to elevate our dance training program but also to integrate other avenues of entertainment at AAD. We aim to provide our students with the opportunity to dance on various stages, including live performances, film, television, and commercial dance. We believe in fostering a strong foundation for technique from an early age, supporting dancers of all levels, whether recreational or competitive, as they grow and develop their skills.

American Academy of Dance offers students an environment where they receive personal attention in a challenging yet enjoyable atmosphere. We believe it is our job to not only teach the technique and discipline of dance but also to show each student the joy of performing.
Our instructors approach each class with energy, enthusiasm, and a true passion for dance. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere that fosters a positive attitude and encouraging spirit felt by our faculty, staff, students, and parents. AAD offers a varied curriculum for students 3 years old and up, with Ballet being the firm foundation of all dance, encouraged for all students.
Our faculty
Our faculty at American Academy of Dance consists of professionals who have either graduated with a degree in dance or have extensive training relevant to the classes they teach. The instructors attend training sessions annually with leading dance educators to stay current with the latest trends in dance. Vanessa and Soren, along with the staff, strive to maintain a school with a well-rounded curriculum.
Whether you are new to dance or a striving pre-professional, we offer uncompromising dedication to the ideal of quality in dance and performing arts. American Academy of Dance offers classes for both recreational and serious dancers. Some of our former dancers can be found performing on Cruise Ships, Broadway Tours, Disney, as well as in Music Videos, TV Specials, and Live Tours with some of today’s hottest artists.
Our Studio
Our facility boasts spacious dance rooms equipped with mirrors, ballet barres, and raised Stagestep dance floors. We also provide comfortable lounge areas, dressing rooms, and lobbies with viewing windows into the downstairs dance rooms.
