2’s – Kinderdance Ballet/Tap Recreational Classes will have a dance uniform. Check with the AAD Office Staff for purchasing – all required uniform/shoes can be ordered through AAD
Parent & Me
Any dancewear or casual athletic wear that allows free movement. Hair should be neatly secured back out of the face. No loose or dangling jewelry is to be worn in class.
Ballet Age 2
Tank Ruffle Dress Leotard (Princess Pink) or Camisole Dress Leotard (Black), Pink Tights (Picture Week/Recital: Please wear tights sold thru AAD to insure color uniformity), Pink Ballet Shoes. Hair should be secured away from face neatly in a bun. No loose or dangling jewelry is to be worn in class.
Ballet Age 3
Tank Bow Dress Leotard (Princess Pink) or Camisole Dress Leotard (Black), Pink Tights (Picture Week/Recital: Please wear tights sold thru AAD to insure color uniformity), Pink Ballet Shoes. Hair should be secured away from face neatly in a bun. No loose or dangling jewelry is to be worn in class.
Ballet/tap combo Class Age 4
Sweetheart Flutter Sleeve Dress Leotard (Princess Pink) or Camisole Dress Leotard (Black), Pink or Skin Tone Tights (Picture Week/Recital: Please wear tights sold thru AAD to insure color uniformity within the brand of tights), Pink Ballet Shoes and U-Shell Dark Tan Tap Shoes. Hair should be secured away from face neatly in a bun. No loose or dangling jewelry is to be worn in class.

Primary Ballet/Tap Combo
Any black leotard of choice, pink tights (Picture Week/Recital: Please wear tights sold thru AAD to insure color uniformity within the brand of tights), and pink ballet shoes. Short, sheer wrap ballet skirts are permitted. Hair must be secured neatly away from face in a bun. No shorts, t-shirts, or dangling jewelry is to be worn in class.
Tap Shoes: U-Shell Dark Tan Tap Shoes
Individual classes
Recreational classes for Preschool/Kinder Hip Hop and Student 1st Grade and up and Company Members:
Ballet
Any black leotard of choice, pink tights (Picture Week/Recital: Please wear tights sold thru AAD to insure color uniformity within the brand of tights), and pink ballet shoes. Short, sheer wrap ballet skirts are permitted. Hair must be secured neatly away from face in a bun. (Please have a Bun Kit with hair ties, bobby pins, brush, hair net and spray along with a notebook for taking ballet notes in your dance bag for each class) No shorts, t-shirts, or dangling jewelry is to be worn in class.
Boys Attire Ballet
Black Dance pants, White Tank, White T-Shirt, and Black Ballet Shoes.
Contemporary/
Lyrical
Any Leotard, dancewear, dance shorts or pants, skin tone footless tights (Picture Week/Recital: If costume requires, please wear tights sold thru AAD to insure color uniformity within the brand of tights). Bare feet preferred or half-soles, dance socks or sole shields. Hair should be secured neatly away from face. No loose or dangling jewelry is to be worn in class.
Hip Hop
Casual dress that allows free movement (no jeans). Athletic tennis shoes. (For Recital: the teacher will specify a particular shoe that coordinates with the costume that will need to be purchased prior to recital.)
Jazz
Any dancewear of choice (leotard, sports bra/tank, jazz shorts, leggings, or dance pants). Hair should be secured neatly away from face. No loose or dangling jewelry is to be worn in class.
Jazz Shoes: Primary 1, 2, and 3 – Dark Tan Jazz Shoes
Tap
Any leotard or dancewear of choice, skin tone tights (Picture Week/Recital: Please wear tights sold thru AAD to insure color uniformity within the brand of tights), dance shorts or dance pants. Hair should be secured neatly away from face. No loose or dangling jewelry is to be worn in class.
Tap Shoes: Primary 1 and 2 – U-Shell Dark Tan Tap Shoes
3rd grade and Up – Tan Oxford Jazz Tap Shoes
